The Traveling Troupe
Materials: Fabric and sewing machine
Group Members: Bella Miller, Charlee Abbott, Nori Namkoong
This was a group project where we were instructed to create a collection of stuffed animals. We were randomly assigned animals, and our group had to come up with a fun storyline and them for the collection. I got a Holland Lop Rabbit. After trial and error with prototyping, choosing fabric, and ensuring the animal is cohesive with the rest of the group's products, I ended up with a cute white rabbit with a brown heart eye and a hot pink burette (she traveled to Italy).
Potential for the product: These four characters; Eloise, Arnold, Spencer, and Alex; and their thrilling adventures all over the world would be the perfect storyline for a children's storybook or cartoon. The global aspect of the story and focus on gaining more friends creates an opportunity to later offer more characters that can represent different locations and backgrounds. The underlying message is powerful as it inspires the reader to create their own path in life that is well suited to their own dreams.
