The Keepsake Collection
I experimented with multiple motifs that I hand - drew, even when they didn’t initially feel cohesive. Once I began integrating my chosen color scheme, I realized how naturally these designs could merge into a unified story. This process taught me that flexibility and experimentation can still lead to clarity and cohesion when guided by thoughtful planning.
The Keepsake Collection is inspired by nostalgia and comfort. At my grandmother’s house, I grew up surrounded by antiques, quiet moments, and her beloved cat - all of which root me in a sense of home and memory. I chose to include tigers, reflecting a childhood fascination that still stays with me, and hummingbirds, which I often saw in California and came to view as symbols of good luck. These motifs bridge personal memory with universal themes of comfort, familiarity, and timeless beauty.
