A Change In Scenery

Software Used: CLO 3D

For this circle skirt project, I drew inspiration directly from nature. I began by selecting photographs of natural environments and extracting color palettes from them. These palettes served as the foundation for a collection of 12 unique circle skirt designs, each reflecting the colors, textures, and atmosphere of the original images.

From those twelve, I selected four final designs that best represented specific color strategies:

• Complementary Colors

• Analogous Colors

• Three Dominant Colors

• Four Dominant Colors

Each final design was rendered using CLO 3D software, which allowed me to visualize how the skirts would look in motion—how the colors and patterns would fall, drape, and interact with movement.

This project helped me explore the connection between color theory and garment design, and how emotion and storytelling can be translated into wearable pieces.
